Easily my favorite RPG journals, both GM and Player. I have tried some others and always find myself thinking "I should have just bought more from 1985"
It's unfortunate that I can't place the color images into the booklet or type out the character's backstory, but I found a "backdoor" manner to do it... So that's the only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5. Maybe a blank pdf page for that stuff or notes that can be added with adhesive pages like I did in the image... I mean, as 1st level characters I can it building from the ground up, but I transferred 6th level characters...
I love it, it's the perfect paper organizer I was looking for for all of my note-taking and character tracking. I'll be certain to get more once these are all filled out. 🤩

This is a really cool product! What stood out to me, was the ease of having notes and a character sheet, all in one notebook. I am very organized and like having all my paper things in one place. So, I bought it. And it has proven itself very useful. There are a number of pages for things I didn’t even know I needed until presented with them. The art is fantastic as well. There are, however, some things that I did not like. The layout and order of each section is spread out in a way that I would not necessarily do. Though, this is just my opinion and follows how I usually order my character sheet. One example is that equipment and “More Inventory” are not together, making it weird to flip back and forth to see what inventory I put where. A mild inconvenience of course, but something to consider. Also, there’s not enough room for my features and abilities, but a lot more room for spells. I use spell cards so I am using part of the spell page for the rest of my features, and realize most players will be using that page to write down their spells. Other than those few things, I absolutely love it, love using it, and will definitely use it in the future! I fully recommend this product.

I think I got the wrong product? I got a green dnd journal but it mentions a specific game (it starts with an O) and has a special map on the inside. It’ll work for what I need but just wanted to note

I only use these journals for long running D&D games. I like the larger size, all the note space, and the space/pages they have for homebrew content too. Very versitile, would highly recommend to anyone who plays.

Great holiday gifts!
I like the quality and the utility of having all the character sheet details right up front. I would have liked to see the Notes section break down things like NPCs, Quests, etc., but it's nothing some handwritten headings can't fix. All in all, great bang for the buck.
Think you should make one for martial classes and one for spell casters othe then that love them

These are awesome! There are a number of characters I have had over the years that I wish I had something nicer than a photocopied character sheet to record my info for. There is SO MUCH space for note taking! Fantastic products! I can't wait to check out their tile sets!
I love how easy everything is to fill out however I wish it had a spell sheet similar to official character sheet. But other than that I love it

Very well packaged. Will fit in standard mailbox with room for more. Great quality books and very easy to understand. I'm just starting in dnd and just by looking at the pages, I can understand how they work a little bit better. Would definitely recommend these books to all players from newbie to vets. I'd call that a nat 20 for the books! ;)
1985 does it again! These notebooks are geniusly designed, and look fabulous. Can't wait to share these with my group.
Excellent! I love that the pages are numbered for cross referencing notes. And the table of contents are left blank at the beginning, to fill in as your campaign progresses.

Very helpful for my d&d sessions
I like the product. It arranged the character sheet into a cleaner and friendlier breakdown of the original character sheet. It makes more sense with things arranged in logical groups that correspond with game play. It makes it easier to look up what you need at the time it is needed. The down side is it is one character record per booklet. Also with a price of $24 I find it a bit expensive for what you get. I could get many more character sheets and a few note books to perform the same idea, which is how we did it when D&D was first introduced. I would be more willing to pay $15.00 for 3 booklets than $24.oo. And I would buy them more often. I also understand the price cost at start up vrs supply and demand. The more you sell the more the price may come down, just like the large screen TV's did. I am hoping this is the case. It would also be nice if each booklet were two character records instead of one. I don't think most people will use the number of note pages that come with just the one character record. Over all the product was a great idea and I do like it, but price and just one character per booklet make it a hard decision to buy them often.
