BattleTech: Mercenaries Demolishes Kickstarter

Catalyst Game Labs, the hobby game company that brought you BattleTech and Shadowrun, launched their most recent Kickstarter on March 23, 2023. BattleTech: Mercenaries, a new box set for the BattleTech Game, was funded in under 1 minute (according to their first update)!

Now, the Kickstarter is rapidly approaching their final stretch goal of $5M. Just check out the Kickstarter for yourself and watch the number grow!

The Kickstarter pages features a thrilling intro video for the expansion. Set in the thirty-first century, BattleTech is set in a world where all that is promised is the battlefield. With a quick rundown of the game design, it is easy to see why the game is crushing the internet.

The BattleTech: Mercenaries expansion follows Catalyst Game Labs' Clan Invasion Kickstarter, which ranked among the top 100 Kickstarter campaigns ever. While the previous expansion featured almost one hundred miniatures, BattleTech: Mercenaries promises "more than 50 reimagined designs, including 'Mechs, armored and support vehicles, a VTOL, additional battle armor, and a new aerospace fighter."

There are many Reddit communities sharing the new, exciting expansion, which is no doubt contributing to the tremendous success of the campaign. Many fans mention that BattleTech is the best game of armored combat and go as far to say that it is their favorite game of all time.
